You will join the team underpinning Davidson’s national operations. Our team brings together our enabling, Business Partner, functions to provide agile, high quality support, ensuring our client facing businesses deliver exceptional outcomes.
About the Role
You will be a trusted People Champion within our People & Culture team. Actively partnering with our team across Davidson nationally to uplift capability, coach through complex people matters, and embed contemporary, values led people practices. Your work will span the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and engagement through to performance, change, and compliance. You will balance care with commercial acumen to help our people and business actively thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the trusted partner and coach provide pragmatic, compliant, timely and expert advice on all HR matter, including the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, NES and employment obligations, IR/ER, employment changes, promotions, and more.
Support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment, onboarding, flexible work, development, organisational change, performance, grievances to exits, ensuring consistent and equitable practice.
Help drive adoption of people initiatives and change, champion Davidson’s culture and values in day to day decision making.
Coordinate cyclical activities (e.g., WGEA reporting, engagement surveys, salary benchmarking, reviews, exit processes) and translate insights into practical recommendations.
Actively contribute to people focused projects enhancing employee experience, retention, capability, and improvement.
Coordinate national WHS activities and partner with stakeholders to promote a safe, healthy workplace.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Must haves:
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or related field.
Demonstrated experience in HR business partnering within a national context within consultancy or professional services environment.
Strong knowledge of employment law and contemporary HR practice, with the judgement to apply it pragmatically, ethically, and with a people first approach.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with leaders and employees across a complex, national, multidisciplinary organisation.
Excellent interpersonal, coaching, problem solving and written communication skills.
Nice to haves:
Experience within technology or engineering settings.
Professional membership (e.g., AHRI, IML, CPHR).
HRIS literacy and reporting capability (e.g., Employment Hero would be an added bonus).
Exposure to and understanding of, WGEA reporting and benchmarking tools, return to work coordination experience (or willingness to train).
Advanced Excel/Word skills and the ability to create clear guidance and training materials.
