HR Generalist in a diverse and busy environment

As the HR Business Partner, you will provide generalist HR advice and support to managers and employees across Melbourne Zoo. You will partner closely with the leadership team to deliver solutions on a wide range of HR matters and support broader HR initiatives, including the implementation of a new HRIS over the next six months.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor to managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practice
Provide guidance on complex workplace matters, including employee relations and performance management
Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes HR systems, administration, and compliance requirements for Melbourne Zoo, supported by an HR Administrator
Contribute to workforce planning and organisational development initiatives
Collaborate with the HR team on strategic projects, including HRIS implementation, inclusion and Diversity and wellbeing initiatives

About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience as an HR generalist in a fast-paced, complex organisation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering outcomes
Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
