People & Culture Business Partner
This NFP walks the talk.
They are values-driven with a HR team that exceeds expectations.
A great opportunity has arisen for a People & Culture Business Partner (P&C BP) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on operational units, aligning management and people practices with strategic goals, values, and culture.
Reporting to the Senior P&C Business Partner position, providing competent and pragmatic advice to managers. This would suit someone who is willing to lean in and demonstrate proactivity.
Proactive & Partnering Support
Business Engagement: Establish effective partnerships with designated business units through the provision of HR advice.
ER/IR: Coach managers to have "courageous conversations" with a view to triaging and de-escalating ER/IR matters before they become disciplinary matters.
Investigations: Ensure line managers are supported to conduct investigations in a fair and just way, and that due process and natural justice are clearly applied.
Well-being: Conduct templated well-being check-ins with employees after incidents to mitigate the risk of Workers' Comp claims.
Workforce Planning: Work alongside the recruitment team and speak with managers about basic workforce planning, and help organise targeted recruitment campaigns.
Productivity/Process: Be proactive; review data to help managers plan employee changes and reduce unnecessary work.
Driving Strategy & Projects
You will have the opportunity to get involved in significant projects next year, offering great development opportunities:
Policy & Compliance: Review all people policies against new standards, identify gaps, and suggest solutions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and currency of relevant HR legislative/regulatory frameworks to help ensure compliance and manage risk.
Strategic Projects: Participate effectively in business planning processes and provide P&C input. Support with the People Strategy, Distributed Leadership Model, and Rostering Implementation (all with significant consultation components).
Volunteers Project: Take the lead on the project to tighten up the Volunteers process to ensure compliance under the new standards.
HR Metrics: Support with the gathering and analysis of key workforce metrics, identify trends, and assist in developing an explanatory narrative to inform relevant business decisions.
With a relevant degree, you will have demonstrated experience in a role where you have been a proactive partner to the business, ideally from a Human Services perspective.
