They are seeking a proactive and hands-on HR Manager to take ownership of the full HR function and support leaders across the business.

About The Role

This is a standalone HR role overseeing the full employee lifecycle, WHS, ER, compliance, culture and multi-site retail support. The position blends day-to-day HR operations with opportunities to influence and enhance people initiatives as the organisation continues to grow.

You’ll partner closely with the GM, department heads, store managers and area managers, supporting approximately 130 employees across head office, warehouse and retail stores.

DUTIES

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

Manage end-to-end HR across recruitment, onboarding, contracts, ER, performance and exit processes
Maintain and update HR policies, the employee handbook and compliance documentation
Coach leaders on performance, conduct, grievances and award interpretation
Oversee employee data and HRIS (Humanforce), ensuring accurate timesheet management and reporting

Reporting, WHS, RTW & Compliance

Act as the WHS lead, managing compliance, training, audits and safety processes
Serve as the Return-to-Work Coordinator, managing workers compensation and early intervention
Partner with warehouse teams on risk assessments and inspections
Prepare and submit the annual WGEA report
Produce HR, WHS and workforce metrics for senior leadership

Recruitment, Culture & Payroll

Review weekly timesheets for accuracy and advise AP of adjustments
Step in to process payroll during planned leave (training provided)
Support leadership in developing employee recognition and milestone initiatives
Manage all head office recruitment and support store managers with retail hiring

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

An HR professional with 3-5+ years’ experience in a generalist or standalone role, confident running HR end-to-end
Retail sector experience highly beneficial, ideally with multi-site exposure
Hands-on, detail-focused and comfortable working autonomously
Skilled across ER, workers comp, RTW, WHS and award interpretation
Calm, resilient and adaptable, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
