The Opportunity
Our client has partnered exclusively with Brooker Consulting to recruit a Human Resource Business Partner. These is a full-time positions, with the possibility of a four-day week for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this hands-on role will work closely with leaders across the organisation to deliver strategic and operational HR support. You will provide expert advice, practical solutions, and initiatives that drive engagement, capability, and performance.
You will play a key role across the full employee lifecycle — from attraction and onboarding through to development, performance, and employee relations — contributing to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with managers to provide high-quality HR advice across recruitment, performance, and employee relations
Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding to ensure a seamless employee experience
Support performance management, workforce planning, and capability development activities
Contribute to organisational development initiatives, including learning, development, and leadership programs
Provide guidance on employee and industrial relations, policy compliance, and relevant workplace legislation
Support wellbeing, safety, and return-to-work programs
Contribute to process improvements and enhancements across HR systems and practices
Work with leaders to embed positive cultural, engagement, and employee experience initiatives
About You
5–8 years’ experience in an operational HR or generalist business partnering role
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
Experienced in stakeholder engagement, coaching, and influencing at all levels
Practical understanding of HR systems, policies, and contemporary people practices
Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Professional, collaborative, and adaptable approach, with a genuine commitment to making a positive contribution
Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
