People & Culture Lead

In a nutshell
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how critical the right people and culture are to scaling a successful business. Reporting directly to the CEO/Founder and acting as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, you will own Removify’s People & Culture function. Driving recruitment, shaping culture, enabling high performance, and embedding our values into everything we do as we grow across Australia, the US, and Europe.
We’ve partnered with a fractional HR consulting firm to handle the operational and compliance-heavy HR work. That means you get to focus on the meaningful, high-impact parts of People & Culture: hiring exceptional talent, partnering with leaders, and building an environment where our team can thrive.

We’re a digital reputation management company helping businesses thrive by removing damaging online content and protecting their online presence. With 35 team members and strong growth underway, we anticipate adding at least 15 new hires in the next 6-12 months.

What you’ll be owning
Talent Acquisition (big part of the role)
You’ll own end-to-end hiring:
Build and execute hiring strategy
Create and nurture diverse talent pipelines
Run seamless recruitment processes
Ensure every hire aligns with our capability needs and cultural DNA
People & Culture Leadership
You’ll drive the strategic people agenda for the business, including:
Culture & Engagement: Lead values-based communication, recognition, feedback loops, and initiatives that strengthen connection and belonging across the team.
Performance & Development: Implement review cycles, capability frameworks, and development pathways that support people to perform at their best.
Global Resource Planning: Work with offshore contributors and partner with external staffing providers to ensure we’re resourced effectively across markets.
Workplace Experience: Keep our Melbourne HQ humming — from ergonomic setups to team rituals and office culture.
HR Operations & Compliance (in partnership with our fractional HR provider): You’ll oversee and manage the relationship with our external HR consultancy as they handle policies, contracts, compliance, offboarding, HR systems and documentation. You are the internal owner, they are the executors.
What we’re looking for
You’ve previously owned or led the People function in a growing company (ideally tech or digital) and still genuinely enjoy being hands-on with recruitment. You understand people strategy, but you’re equally comfortable executing. You’re energised by building scalable systems and shaping culture during high growth.
Must-haves
5+ years in People & Culture, Talent, or a similar people-focused role
Proven success recruiting across a variety of roles, including mid-senior hires
Experience implementing performance reviews, development frameworks, or similar programs
Strong capability with HRIS/ATS tools (e.g., Employment Hero, JobAdder)
Confidence navigating compliance and people policies (with execution support from our HR partner)
A sense of humour and genuine care for team wellbeing
Nice-to-haves
Experience working with distributed or global teams
Tech-savvy with tools like Monday.com, Google Workspace, Slack, and similar systems
